It's Been A While

My friend Barbara said I should update my blog, and she is absolutely right. I have been remiss. So,while hanging my head in shame, I shall update my &** off.

I decided to try craft shows again this summer and picked two which seemed promising. The first was in Buckhorn, just outside Peterborough, and while it was a lovely setting, it was not the venue for me. The clientele seemed to consist mostly of elderly women who were far more interested in purses made from upholstery fabric than they were in my pretty things. Then it was onto Cobourg, which is an enormous and very well attended show... a much better setting. The pieces which were left over are pictured here and are all listed on Kijiji under the Shabby Chic heading. Please contact me if you see something you like.

The Vanities of 2010

I haven't been posting my Shabby Chic vanities here because they sell so fast. Since it is coming to the end of the year however, I am now posting pictures of the vanities I have re-finished over the last several months. They have all been sold, but are pictured here as a reference of my work.

I am now open in my new booth at Gabrielle's Antique Market, 34B King St in downtown Bowmanville. I am carrying my usual Shabby Chic furniture and accessories as well as a line of Retro kitchen decor. Gabrielle's is open Tues - Sat.
I will continue to list my vanities on craigslist and Kijiji.

Eastlake Mirror

This piece may have originally been the backsplash to an Eastlake sideboard. It is painted off white and distressed. The mirror is new and it measures 28" x 34".
